On the roadtrip down, we stopped by a local winery. We enjoyed good Texas wine and hospitality and kept them an hour after closing.
In Fredericksburg we stayed at a cozy, cute bed & breakfast just off Main Street and really close to wonderful shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed live music at Hondo's our first night there. The next morning we awoke and had a fabulous breakfast, then a morning hike up Enchanted Rock.
Enchanted Rock is a huge dome of pink granite. The summit trail climbs 425 feet up to the top where views were amazing.
We stopped at the unique Trois Estate on our way back to town. There we found really interesting and suprising architecture.
Matt is a very thoughtful husband. Because our wedding cake didn't have a layer of chocolate filling like I had wanted, he bought a white cake with chocolate filling for us. We also thawed our cake topper which ended up tasting better than we thought it would.
Our anniversary night we enjoyed a fancy dinner at Navajo Grill.
This first year has really flown by! We have moved to a new city, bought our first house, started new jobs--there is no one else that I can imagine sharing my life with. We have learned so much about each other and how to love each other. I look forward to at least 50 more!
P.S. My dress still fits!!

Congrats on your anniversary!
Looks like a great trip! You look awesome! I need to try my dress on when I'm home next week to see if it still fits :) Somehow I think mine might not...6 years and a baby later might be a tad tight :)
