Kristen & Charley's Visit

We were very happy to welcome Charley and Kristen into our home this holiday weekend. They flew in from Virginia on Thursday night and stayed with us before heading to San Antonio for Charley's middle school friend's wedding.
They returned on Sunday afternoon and we had a great backyard grill-out and shrimp marinade contest. Congrats to our winner---MOM! We mixed up some questionable Mojioto's and put our party hats on.
After dinner we made our way to our local Walgreen's to buy each other crazy t-shirts to wear to the water park on Monday.

All decked out in our tacky t-shirts we head to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor for some fun in the sun! Mom came too and became our official photographer.


At the end of the day and after too much sun we made it home. We dressed up for dinner at the newly opened Piranha restaurant were we enjoyed great sushi and drinks in a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you Kristen & Charley for your generous treat!

All good things do come to an end. We really enjoyed their visit and look forward to seeing them at the beach in August!

Dr. & Mrs. Joseph & Jillian...

Matt & I were honored to attend the wedding of our friends Jill and Joe on Saturday May 10, 2008 at the Dallas Museum of Art. The ceremony was held outdoors in the sculpture garden. After the ceremony we visited with friends inside for a coctail reception then upstairs for a wonderful dinner. Everything was absolutely beautiful!

Best of luck to the bride and groom as they enter this new chapter in their lives!

Arbor Day Adventure Race

On Saturday morning Matt and I participated in the Arlington Arbor Day Adventure Race.
The race began with a canoe trek across Lake Arlington, then a run through the obstacle course and finished up with a one mile run/walk.
Mom was our official photographer. Surprisingly we met one of mom's friends before the race began and also cheered for their team, the "Goonies".

JFK Museum

After Cristy & Davids wedding we decided to take the opportunity to visit some Dallas landmarks. Our journey started just a few blocks from the reception site at Dealey Plaza and the Grassy Knoll where Matt explained his assassination theory. Then we headed up to the JFK museum inside the Old Book Depository where it is said that Lee Harvey Oswald assassinated President Kennedy.

Cristy & David's Wedding

Matt and I were honored to attend the wedding of our friends Cristy and David on Saturday, May 3rd 2008 at 11 am in Dallas.

We really enjoyed seeing and having fun with all of our friends.

It was a beautiful day from start to finish.

Cristy and David-welcome to the best club! Marriage is a wonderful journey.

Mayfest 2008 - Fort Worth

Mom and I attended Mayfest on May 2nd. It has been an annual tradition since I attended TCU.
We enjoyed a beautiful day filled with interesting performances and a variety of booths ranging from the Spam-mobile to dog adoption, think green and water conservation and many arts and crafts. Our favorite booth was called FRIED WHAT? --- we didn't indulge but it was tempting.
