This weekend we celebrated Mom's birthday. On Saturday night we had a wonderful fondue dinner at The Melting Pot. We ate until we were stuffed full.
Sunday morning (although we were still full from fondue) we had the"house speciality breakfast" French-French Toast, complete with birthday candles.
Later that afternoon Drew, Jess & the kids and Joyce & Sarah met us at our house. We carpooled over to Lonestar Park in Grand Prarie for a little horse racing. We had a picnic lunch then enjoyed the races from the grandstand. It was a really hot, sunny day but there was a steady breeze and we used lots of sunscreen. We even picked the winning horses every once in a while!
